Please search and download the Engbird app via Google play/ App store on your phone.
When installing, please make sure that all permissions of Engbird are allowed.
When connecting, please try to place the sensor next to the phone. Open the Engbird app, and turn on the phone’s Bluetooth and location functions. Please make sure that the Bluetooth of the mobile phone is not connected to other Bluetooth devices.
(Since the Google policy upgradation of SDK (Software Development Kit) to the latest version 26, it is necessary to launch the GPS to tag your position for scanning bluetooth device, which are applicable to the version starting from 23.)
Please click ‘add sensor’, it will automatically search for and connect the sensor.
If the connection fails, please:
- Unplug the batteries, wait a few minutes, then reinstall them. Please make sure that the batteries are new and installed in the correct orientation.
- Uninstall and reinstall the Engbird app.
- Restart the phone. If possible, please use a different mobile phone to test to rule out whether the problem is caused by the mobile phone.
- Enter the Bluetooth connection page of the mobile phone and check if there is a Bluetooth signal of the sensor. If not, please contact support@inkbird.com and provide order information.
