I’m using my thermometer for the first time today and 3 of 4 probes have been going offline.
I’m cooking in an Aga with a foil covering. Lamb shoulder, bone-in.
The controller is on the bench beside the Aga.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Hello,
If the probes are placed back in the charging case, do they reconnect?
This can help us check if the Aga cooker affects the Bluetooth signal.
Thanks.
Thanks for the reply Tania, I did try a couple of variations, will make a record next time.
Have finished the cook, readings were intermittent throughout the 7 hours.
Will check next cook, probs Xmas day
Same problem here. It’s not a me problem. 3rd cooking session and chronic “probe offline”. Unit is 2 metres from smoker. All the reset hacks suggested fail. Doesn’t matter where unit is placed, charged fully (all, probes and base), OT what smoker I’m using (old hickory Comm. or Traeger).
Seems like a frequent issue with this and other models.
A replacement would be appreciated, or I’ll have to return it failing that.
I also just had this issue. The probes were fine until I tented the pan with foil and now the device isn’t being found. Could the foil covering the probe cause that much of an issue???
Hello,
Since the INT-14-BW probes connect to the charging case via Bluetooth, it is recommended to minimize obstructions between them. The presence of foil will weaken the Bluetooth signal.
