Cooling not initiating at set Cooling Differential (ITC-308)

Hello,

I am using the ITC 308 unit with a small refrigerator. I have the unit programmed with a set value at 3.2 C with a cooling differential of .5 C but the unit is not cooling the fridge when the actual temperature is above 3.7 C. The unit does seems to initiate cooling once the temp is about 4.7 C but it does not continue to cool to the set value. In the most recent cycle it reached about 3.5 C.

Any trouble shooting tips or help would be appreciated.

Hello,
Please check whether the refrigerator has a built-in thermostat?
This will help us determine whether the built-in thermostat is affecting the issue.
As the ITC-308 determines output turn on/off based on temperature and settings, the actual refrigeration is performed by the refrigerator itself.
If the refrigerator’s thermostat is set to 3.5°C, the refrigerator will maintain a temperature of 3.5°C even if the ITC-308 continuously supplies power to it.
For further verification, please also test with different cooling units. This will better confirm the source of the issue.
If the problem originates from the ITC-308, please adjust its setpoint value to verify whether the target temperature is below what the device can achieve, thereby causing this situation.
