Questions about IAM-T2 Calibration, Firmware Update, and Battery

I just got my IAM-T2 today. I want to know when I should use the “Automatic Calibration” feature and when to use the “Factory Reset CO2 Accuracy” feature. Or do I never need those options?

About the Firmware Update, it does nothing when tapped. I also saw the same issue with another user who posted a review on Youtube. Is this normal?

For the battery, both the website and the manual says it uses Lithium battery. Lithium batteries are not rechargeable. Might it just be a typo of what should have been rechargeable lithium-ion battery? ——— Also, will it alert when the battery is full or do I just look at the battery indicator? Like many devices, I probably received my IAM-T2 with approx 40% charge. The manual says charging time is 6 hours so I’m assuming that to charge full, it should take at least 3 hours. But I’ve only been charging for 30 minutes and the battery meter shows full bars. Thoughts?

Thanks for the help!

Hello,
After prolonged use, considering the potential aging of the IAM-T2 sensor, it’s recommended to enable the ‘Auto Calibration’ function once.

To perform auto calibration, please place it in a well-ventilated and shielded environment (e.g., near a window in a room where no one passes by) for at least seven days.

If in an enclosed space without fresh air circulation, please turn off ‘automatic calibration’.

‘Factory Reset CO2 Accuracy’ is used when the user feels there is still a deviation after ‘automatic calibration’, and can be used for recalibration and restoring factory settings.

If there is no firmware update, clicking it will have no effect; this is normal.

Regarding the battery, it is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery; I will provide feedback to the engineering team.

The IAM-T2 does not make a sound when fully charged.
Regarding battery details: Does the INKBIRD app also show 100% battery after 30 minutes of charging? Or does it drain quickly if the power is unplugged? This will help us rule out whether it’s displaying a false battery level.
