IIC-800 Becoming Unusable After Just Over 2 Years?

My IIC-800-WIFI controller developed the “Clock is abnormal” failure after just over two years of actual operation and is now unusable.

Factory reset and full reconfiguration did not resolve the issue.

While investigating the problem, I found multiple discussions in the official INKBIRD community reporting similar IIC-800 Clock Error, Time Error and Line Error failures.

INKBIRD support referred me to the official AliExpress store, where the only solution offered was to purchase a new controller.

Has INKBIRD identified the cause of these recurring failures, and what is the official solution for affected customers?

I am going to suggest that a change of Crystal or 8 pf capacitor should fix the problem. But consider effort verses return. I think a new unit might be a path of least pain.

There are a new series of units out including 8, 12 and 16 station units in a water proof enclosure with integrated power supply units worth considering your options.

This company doesn’t give service, their products are unusable, therefore i will not buy from them anything, ever and ever, they’re erased!!
