Inkbird IIC 800 works for a few minutes then errors out

I found my Inkbird beeping one day and saw an odd error on the screen–too corrupted to read.

Upon power up the unit display looks and works fine- I can manually turn on/off sprinklers.

then after say 2 minutes, the screen shows an error and the alarm sounds.

I have the latest software updated, and I can connect to the unit with my phone and turn things on and off.

also on my phone it says "
Clock is abnormal please check"

Thoughts anyone?

Hello,
Perhaps you could reset the IIC-800-WIFI.
To reset the IIC-800-WIFI, please unplug the power, press and hold the ‘Power’ button, then plug it back in and release the ‘Power’ button until the device powers on.
Will it work?
If it does not work, please provide your order information, and a link to this post to email support@inkbird.com for after-sales service.

Thanks.

I have this exact same problem! It also shows and sends a notification that the time setting is behaving abnormally. I haven’t been able to find a way to fix this new issue. I will try resetting it as the moderator suggested.

I did the reset and it still does not work. I see this issue is listed in the manual and if it can’t be fixed by resetting, to contact customer support!

Update. I contacted Inkbird customer service and they replied quickly. They said to contact my original seller so I did and I have a replacement unit on the way which is great although it will still need to be re installed in the electrical box it’s in.
Just wanted to say thanks to Inkbird and their sellers for the quick resolution and hopefully this won’t happen again.
The seller said the error code means it has an internal fault.

2nd update. New controller arrived overnight and now it’s wired in to replace old faulty unit. Thanks Inkbird for great customer service. However if this is a common fault, maybe you need to make an update or fix new units?

Thank you for your update. This issue has been submitted to the engineers, and they may be able to optimize this product in the future.
