IIC-800-WIFI time error

I get a time error on the IIC-800-WIFI controller even when I set the time accurate to the second on the controller. After some time after setting I get this error and the controller stops access to the program.

Is this related to a time server setting probably?

Rainer

I got also the ā€œTime errorā€ on my HO-SC-8W contoller. Please advise

I have the same probleme. I acquired it the last year.

I have the same problem. I made the mistake of regularly restarting the device and continuing to use it rather than getting a replacement under warranty, and now, because it is out of warranty, Inkbird support were very unhelpful and offer no solution. I have read many comments online that even their replacements have the same fault, so I no longer trust this brand, and would not buy another Inkbird device.

I am surprised that you say that there have been replacement units that exhibit the same ā€œLine Errorā€ fault. I have installed new and refurbished units without any issue. The versatility and functionality the Inkbird unit offers for the unit price is superior to others on the market in my opinion. The fact that you can program Zones independently means more effective watering and that spare zones could be used for suitable garden lights.

Yes further development for integration with Tuya and other automated systems would be good.

A App function to manually run through a preprogrammed cycle would be good!

I tried adding the 8pf capacitors to the circuit, but it didn’t help, so I replaced the crystal oscillator (about $3 from my local electronics store), and the IIC-800 controller has been working perfectly ever since.

I don’t know how long this fix will last for, but my recommendation to anyone experiencing this problem would be to replace the crystal oscillator (Part number: 32.768), as that is a very simple fix that can be done by anyone with a soldering iron.

I am now happy with the device. It is working well.

Thanks to those that helped direct me to the problem component and finding the solution.

Cheers.
