I have been getting line error alarms on my iic 800. I reset it and it works for several hours then fails again. Please help me with a solution.
Hello,
Perhaps you could reset the IIC-800-WIFI.
To reset the IIC-800-WIFI, please unplug the power, press and hold the ‘Power’ button, then plug it back in and release the ‘Power’ button until the device powers on.
Will it work?
If it does not work, please provide your order information, a picture of the problem, and a link to this post to email support@inkbird.com for after-sales service.

Line error and alarm sounds off no good.
Hello,
May I know if you tried the reset method I mentioned earlier?

Hi i also have the same issue time error… after asking fo repair i got answer that the company policy was to not share any data or scematics… as i am a electronic design engineer after i open the unit i imediatly notice a fatal desing error the time keeper ic HT1381 oscilator have no compensation capacitors and the clock is not good and stable so the communication with microcontroller fails i mesure with the scope meter.. after i put 2 8pf capacitors as described in datasheet of the time keeper ic the unit star to work as it should… soo guys the problem is in the design… and the solution is very easy for repair…
Hi can you show me how. Also, I wanted to ask you if you think the central unit can be powered via 24V - and VAC +.
@Role Hi can you show me how. Also, I wanted to ask you if you think the central unit can be powered via 24V - and VAC +.
Now i do not have a picture i need to open the unit again for take the picture… but is easy like the picture i post show, you need to connect a capacitor on each cristal oscilator pin and ground..I remove the solder mask on pcb and connect the capacitors directtly to the oscilator pins and ground…
Yes! Makes a lot of sense. Well done !
I have 4 units and a number of others deployed for clients. This will give me a lot confidence going forward. I will apply as suggested and put them back in my active test lab.
Thank you ! Cheers!
Hi Role, Can you share photos of the “repaired” one? Where can I buy the 8pf capacitors? We are not engineers but very keen to try out…
Capacitor spec 1206 8PF 5% 50V NPO Is this ok?
