IIC-400-WIFI Smart Sprinkler Set Up

I just installed my IIC-400-WIFI yesterday. No issues with WIFI set up. I have 3 zones and I set a timer for each one. I set them to fire every other day. They were supposed to turn on this morning and run but they did not. On the display all 4 zones are flashing together about every 3 seconds. When I set things up I did fire all 3 zones manually just to see if they would activate and things were working. Did that mess anything up by chance? I see I had push notifications on my phone yesterday when they were fired manually but nothing today. Are the lights supposed to flash together when it’s programmed and waiting for the next cycle?

The zone lights should flash. I was confused too but it’s how they are.

What valves do you have? Mine is acting up and is not at optimum performance. Did you check on them with a manual start? You have rain sensor activated. That may be the issue.

Thanks at least I feel like it’s turned on and ready. No rain sensor. They are Rain Bird valves and yesterday when I went to the Manual Watering page I turned on each valve one by one and they all fired (opened and closed) so I feel like things are hooked up right I just don’t know if by doing that quick manual test it messed up my schedule (skipping a day maybe). If you look at the attachment yesterday it said next watering start time was 5/5/25 at 4AM. Today it now says next watering time is 5/7/25 4AM. Down at the scheduled Duration Time where it says “Watered Time” that is still blank and I would assume that if the valve actually fired and watered that zone it would say “35 minutes” if it actually turned on. I am not going to touch anything and wait for the next scheduled watering on 5/7/25 and see if it goes. Are you supposed to get a push notification on your phone if the timer fires as programmed?

Yes, you get a notification if you allow it. Pro tip, turn off the sound. It’s annoying.

My Rain Bird sounds like the are going into orbit with an awful noise. Have to try another one, might be defective.

Just some additional information, if the rain sensor is not used, the jumper between the IIC-400-WIFI ‘S’ and ‘24-’ terminals needs to remain connected.
If the jumper is removed or loose, it will be recognized as rain. If the scheduled irrigation is selected to obey the rain sensor, it will skip irrigation.
But in manual mode, human judgment will take precedence over the rain sensor recognition. Therefore, if the zone is turned on manually, even if the rain sensor detects rain, it will turn on the zone.

I don’t have a rain sensor and I did not remove the jumper cable. My unit is firing every other day as scheduled but there seems to be a bug. Since I did a manual firing of each zone to see if they were working properly my schedule is off by a day permanently. It would seem to me that a manual firing of any zone should not PUSH the schedule out a day. It should just be an extra watering cycle. That is how every other automated sprinkler system works. My schedule says it should fire on the 9th, 11th, 13th etc. but my system is off a day. It is firing on the 8th, 10th, 12th etc…
