I purchased the INKBIRD IIC 800 WIFI about a week ago. After the installation and connecting to the wifi, I can manually water the zones on the app without any issues, however, if I program the zones and set the time for it to start the watering cycle, IT DOES NOT! All-though on the App it shows the zone and the time when it is supposed to start. I have reset the control panel and still it does not function on the schedule program!
Some ideas that can help extending Wifi to the shed. A 2.4 wifi repeater will work but it is another thing to configure and maintain. Move the Controller closer to the Wifi Router - yes extending the solenoid cables is easy. I have placed units in Laundry broom cupboards.
What did work for one installation- we were going to shift the controller to next to the Wifi Router but found when we losely installed the cable and just wrapped it around the controller the wifi started working well and reliably! Winner!
I have the IIC 400. I found that every time I went to manual control to test something out it basically reset the timers. I have my timers set to water every other day so if I happen to manually turn on a zone to test something and the schedule was set to water the next day it would not water the next day but reset to 2 days out from that day. The only way I could make it not mess up the schedule was to only manually mess with something on a day that my grass had already been watered that morning. Then it watered again as scheduled. I reported it as a bug but it has not been fixed. If you really need to manually check something on a non watering day the only way I could find to not mess up the schedule was to delete all timers and then re-add them back in with the every other day schedule and sure enough they fired as normal after doing that. Hope this helps.
