I hav in my garden porch a IBS TH2 plus LinkedIn yo my InkBird gateway IBS M1 also connected to my swimming pool IBS P01B. Well both connect perfectly with the gateway and sed information without problem, but, in my Porch sensor (IBS TH2 plus) batteries do not hold for a long time ( less than a week) when the others hold por several moths. I change the time setting for sending information but does not change batteries life. Any tips o solution
Hello,
May I know what the ambient temperature is for placing the IBS-TH2 PLUS?
Will it also drain within 1 week if tested with fresh alkaline batteries?
It appears that Inkbird has not solved this egregious issue!
I am currently dealing with severe battery drain on multiple IBS-TH2 Plus sensors (temperature only). All the sensors I purchased from Amazon since April are “eating” batteries! Each unit depletes a fresh set of AAA batteries in less than a month, and tweaking the time-interval settings (1, 2, 5, or 10 minutes) makes absolutely no difference in performance.
This is clearly not a “usage” issue. I own several older IBS-TH2 and IBS-TH1 Plus sensors that run perfectly for about a year on a 2-minute recording interval. All my sensors are connected to an IBS-M1S hub and are kept at room temperature (approx. 19°C), with only the external probes placed in colder environments.
I am in contact with support regarding this, but so far, the troubleshooting steps, checking firmware (my units are on 2.7.0) and verifying environmental temperatures have not resolved the flaw.
Has anyone else successfully mitigated this? Has Inkbird ever explained the issue?
Thanks,
Shawn
