I’ve been using Inkbird stuff for years and am generally very happy with it. Currently I have an IBS_M2, monitoring an IBS_P02R in our pool and an ITC-308-WIFI which I use to control a fridge that I use for brewing.
The IBS_M2 loses wifi signal mutliple times a day. I don’t really care, I might improve our network one day, but I also don’t think it’s particularly bad in that room because the signal can be picked up over 50m away from the house. The other thing is - I don’t care about that going offline from time to time, it’s OK, I just don’t want my phone buzzing and my macbook pinging up a notification.
But I also don’t want to turn all notifications off because if the ITC-308-WIFI goes out of temperature range, I want to know about it because my beer might be spoiling.
Is there a way to disable notifications for just one device? Or one room in the app?
Hello,
Perhaps you could try turning off IBS-M2 offline push notifications by clicking the settings icon in the bottom left corner of the IBS-M2’s settings page, then clicking ‘more settings’?
Thanks for the really good advice, however when I went into that settings page it was already set to ‘off’. I will try activating that setting and then deactivating, to see if that makes a difference.
Thanks. I have enabled and then disabled offline notifications again just to be sure. Hopefully there won’t be any more from the M2 now. I will let you know if it they keep happening.
