Hello,
Do you mean it can be connected to the old phone?
If you delete it on the old phone and then connect it to the new phone, will it work?
Please put the thermometer next to the new phone. Please turn on the phone’s Bluetooth and location functions. Please make sure that the Bluetooth of the mobile phone is not connected to other Bluetooth devices.
Please remove the connection from the phone to another Bluetooth device.
Please follow the instructions in the manual and the app.
If it still has problems, please feel free to email at support@inkbird.com

I would but the old phone has gone.

I have exactly the same problem, any solution? @Tania @User_1679308224297

Hello,
Please make sure that the permissions mentioned above are turned on and the pairing operation is correct.
Please deplete the power of the IHT-2PB, recharge it and pair it again.
Can it work?

@Tania
Yes, I followed the instructions on the first reply

Please put the thermometer next to the new phone. (DONE)
Please turn on the phone’s Bluetooth and location functions. (DONE)
Please follow the instructions in the manual and the app. (DONE)
and it didn’t work.
I tried with Inkbird app and BBQgo Pro app, and the result was the same. Unfortunately I don’t have my old phone.
It looks like when the IHT-2PB is linked to a bluetooth device ever, there is no way to reset the Bluetooth configuration, it always tries to search and connect to that device. I can’t put it back to Bluetooth pairing mode again.
I will deplete the power of IHT-2PB , recharge it and then try to pair it again. Meanwhile can you please check with your hardware/firmware team if they have any way for users to reset the bluetooth pairing and set the device to pairing mode again
Thanks

The Inkbird app even detects my device, but still cant connect to it!
Terrible app and very poor support.
The only thing the support tesm says, is to make sure Bluetooth is on, location access is granted, depel the battery and try again! Obvious things that everyone does before raising a ticket.

Quick answer, for those who have their device out of warranty. Open the device. Disconnect the battery. Plug it back. Pair the device. Issue solved. Months of search for a very simple outcome. If the device is under warranty, please contact the support.

Exactly the same problem.
I change my phone, install the app, give it all the permissions, and it can’t connect anymore to the probe.

Remove it from the app, when I try to add it again the app see it but it doesn’t connect!

How can I perform a simple factory reset?
