Second IBS-THM1 Plus will not connect

I have 2 IBS-THM1 Plus devices and one (below called first one) easily connected to the Inkbird app, however the second identical device will not connect and is not seen by the app.

I have tried to switch off the first one (remove battery) and then connect the second one and it did not work. I have removed the first one from the app and tried to connect the second one to no avail. (The first one reconnected easily reconnected)

So it seems the BT device in the second one is faulty.

It reads the correct T and Battery power is sufficient (full)

Any ideas?

The IBS-TH1 PLUS supports connection to two apps:

  1. INKBIRD app: You can select the ‘IBS-THS’ model to add.
  2. Engbird app: You can add it by clicking the “+”.

However, both require the following permissions:

  1. In the phone’s settings, go to the corresponding app’s settings and ensure all permissions are enabled.
  2. Bluetooth and location permissions on the phone are enabled.

Therefore, if one of the IBS-TH1 PLUS models cannot connect to the INKBIRD app, please try switching to the Engbird app. This can also further check if the issue is caused by the device itself.
