Day 2: Regarding my question about resetting the Air Quality Detector; I left the unit unplugged overnight. It reset itself once the internal battery was completely drained. It is now operating correctly. Note that it is not enough to merely unplug the unit from the USB port and shut it off. The battery must be drained over several hours.
