IPT-2CH Remote Scheduling

Hello

I just set up the IPT-2CH on a 2.4Ghz network at home. I would like the scheduling to be remote (e.g. if I am away at work, and my app is not connected to the same network, I would like the schedule to push the temperature command regardless). But right now, I’m experiencing two inconveniences:

  1. The temperature controller will only send commands when the app on my iPhone is connected to the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. I was unable to get scheduling to work when connected to a different Wi-Fi band.
  2. Scheduling triggers only when the specified time is reached. For example, if I set something to schedule at 3PM, if I connect to the Wi-Fi at 3:01PM, the command will not send.

So in summary, is there a way for temperature scheduling to work remotely, even when the phone app is not connected to the same Wi-Fi as the IPT-2CH? And additionally, is there more robust scheduling capabilities on the InkBird app (e.g. set 70F whenever time is 3:00PM - 7:00PM)?

Normally, if the IPT-2CH stays connected to a 2.4GHz wifi connection with internet access at home, it is possible for a mobile phone to remotely view and change settings using a different network.
Maybe you can place the IPT-2CH next to the router, delete the IPT-2CH in the app and re-add it? Then please switch the phone to a mobile network to test if it can view and change data?
If you use the ‘smart’ function, please understand that this feature is an extra for the app, it is limited and it relies on internet upload commands. If the network is unstable, there is a risk that the data transfer will fail.
If possible, please use the original function of the device. The original settings of the device will be saved on the device itself.
