When powering on my unit, the PV starts at 95F or so. My set temp is 48F. The PV slowly decreased from 95 to 50F, then suddenly shot up to 116F, triggering my heat alarm. The true water temperature is 36F. Any ideas?
Hello,
This may be due to the probe position being offset or the probe reading being deviated. If the problem is still not solved after changing the probe position, please provide your order information to email support@inkbird.com for after-sales service.

Thanks.
This is from a “plunge” brand cold plunge. It’s a 308 unit they use but with 15amps. The probe is in the intended location. They told me to remove the probe and blow dry it?
Sorry, I’m not very familiar with the ‘Plunge’ brand.
Removing the probe and drying it is a testing method designed to reposition the probe and measure the temperature.
The maximum current that ITC-308 can handle is 10A. I’m not sure if they’ve remodeled it.
