I would like to know step by step on how to calibrate my IBBQ 4BW thermometer I couldn’t understand the oven and boiling water part in one of the answers ?
Hello,
If you need to calibrate the IBBQ-4BW, please ensure the probe’s deviation value is known.
If the probe used to provide accurate readings but now shows deviations, please try the following steps:
Place the probe and its cable in a 150°C (302°F) oven for 30 minutes to dry out any potential moisture inside the probe cable. Please note that the probe plug must not be placed in the oven.
Insert the probe into the IBBQ-4BW and immerse the stainless steel part of the probe in boiling water at 100°C (212°F) for measurement.
Ensure the probe does not directly touch the container.
The probe cable must not come into contact with water.
This process can help identify the reading deviation.
If the deviation value is within the range of -7°C to +7°C (-12.6°F to +12.6°F), you can calibrate it using the app:
For example, if the probe reading is 1 degree lower than the actual value, please set the calibration value to 1.
If the probe reading is 2 degrees higher than the actual value, please set the calibration value to -2.
