Folks,
any tip on what would be the best way to install ISC-027BW on Summit Kamado? It has a port hole for a controller, but the diameter is smaller than Inkbird’s adaptors. Search shows a few solutions, just want to hear from someone who did it the easiest way possible, with no drilling. Thanks in advance!
Hello,
Sorry they are not compatible
Hi Tania,
no, not directly. It’s either 1. using existing hole with short piece of pipe stepping down in diameter, or 2. inserting the adapter in the bottom vent and covering vents with foil. Both ways require some handwork. Hoped to find whether someone tried it already and had insight to share
Solved. Piece of plastic pipe, widening on one end. Perfect fit for an adaptor included in the kit. Adapter goes in the lower vent which required a tiny widening by a step drill bit.
Now controller can be used on my Kamado Joe Jr and big cousin, Weber Summit Kamado.

If you do not have a step drill you should be able to carefully apply heat to the plastic pipe using a hot air gun ( or hairdryer) and when it softens encourage it over the input pipe.
