I just setup our new IBS-M2 Gateway with 2 new IBS-TH2+ sensors and 2 old IBS-TH1 and TH1+ sensors.
All 4 sensors are using external sensors - which is how I need them to be setup.
The gateway is providing all the correct temperature data to the InkBird app, including all the external temperature sensor readings.
The gateway display shows both internal and external temperatures for the TH2+ sensors, but it only shows 0°C for the two older TH1 sensors - even though it is providing the correct readings for the external sensors to the app.
The gateway display will show the correct temperatures for the TH1 internal sensors if I unplug the external sensors BUT I need the external temperature readings - just like the EngBird app has been doing for years.
How can I make the gateway display the temperature from the TH1 external sensors?
Hello,
This is likely because the IBS-TH1 version is older.
Older versions of the IBS-TH1 are unable to display readings from both the built-in and external temperature probes simultaneously on the gateway. This feature was introduced as an improvement in later versions of the IBS-TH1. Therefore, older versions cannot be updated to support this feature.
I’m not asking the app to display both sensor temperatures - I just want it to display the one sensor that is actually in use.
So when I plug in the external sensor, I want the gateway to display the external temperature - just like the apps do - BOTH the Inkbird and Engbird apps show the temperature from the external sensor when it is plugged in - I understand taht it can only show one temperature at a time. BUT the gateway shows zero when I plug in the external sensor. This is annoying. The gateway should be able to show the same temperatures that the apps can show.
