ITH-20R flashing 2 unrelated temperatures

Help! My ITH-20R was a Christmas gift. I set it up and all worked fine. I only used one sensor so no gateway. After changing the batteries, it flashes two unknown readings. One is the actual temp, then flases to something like 7 degrees, then back to current temp (60-70 degrees here currently).
How do I get it to stop and read correctly? I reset the Min/Max, hit the reset, changed again all new batteries for inside and outside. Now what?

Hello,
When the temperature is flashing, does it display ‘external’?
If yes, please check if an external temperature probe is connected to the ITH-20R-O?
Please refer to:

If not, maybe you could try re-pairing the ITH-20R?
Please follow these steps:
Press and hold the TX button on the remote sensor (you’ll need to open its back cover) and the CH/R button on the receiver for about 5 seconds.
Remove the batteries from both the remote sensor and the receiver.
Replace the batteries with new ones.
Reinstall the batteries in the receiver first, then install the batteries in the remote sensor within 2 minutes. Ensure the remote sensor is placed close to the receiver.
If synchronization is successful, the remote sensor will flash a red light once, and the receiver’s RF icon will blink for 5 seconds.
If synchronization is not successful, please briefly press the TX button of the transmitter and the CH/R button of the receiver once, and they will be forced to transmit signals.

If it still doesn’t work, could you provide a problem video, and order information to email support@inkbird.com?
