Hi,

I purchased one of the Inkbird INT-11P-B thermometers last week, and it isn’t working. I’m hoping someone here can help.

I have charged the thermometer until the green light stopped pulsing and went solid, and I have connected the case to the phone app fine.

But the temperature sensor doesn’t seem to be connected. I’ve attached a picture of the screen I see in my phone app here [Inkbird INT-11P-B - Album on Imgur](https://imgur.com/a/9b09ZjR)

After a while the case shuts down and I get a message on my phone saying “The device is disconnected due to loss of Bluetooth signal.”

If your 2.4ghz & 5ghz wifi have the same SSID it will not connect. Isolate them, install, then you can name them the same.

Thanks for the advice Grampy, and good to keep in mind for other Inkbird devices.

But this particular unit is Bluetooth only, no wifi.

Hello,
Please put the probe into the charging case, the indicator light will light up for a few seconds, then take out the probe, will they reconnect?
If the indicator light does not light up, please adjust the position of the probe in the case. Please pay attention to the direction of the probe and make sure the probe is placed in the groove. If it is placed incorrectly, the indicator light of the case will not light up.
If it still doesn’t work, please press and hold the button of the case for 10 seconds. The green and red indicators of the case will flash. Please wait for 60 seconds. The case will re-pair with the probe. Can they be connected?

I am having a similar situation where the app is not connecting to the case (or probe). The instructions seem to indicate that the probe should connect to the app and must be removed from the case to connect. The app just times out.

Please help!

Hello,
Please understand that the device not being able to connect to the INKBIRD app, and the probe being disconnected are two different situations.
According to the description, your problem is that the device cannot connect to the INKBIRD app.
Please make sure that the charging case is charged.
Please make sure that the permissions for the INKBIRD app are enabled in your phone’s settings.
Please make sure that the Bluetooth and location functions of your phone are turned on.
Please check that your phone is not automatically connected to other Bluetooth devices.
Please find INT-11P-B through the ‘+’ in the upper right corner of the INKBIRD app homepage and follow the prompts to add the device.

Hi Ray,

it turned out mine was faulty. I contacted inkbird support and after verifying the problem was real, they sent me a new one which works great.

I really love this device.

If you are having the same issues, I suggest you contact them directly.

Best Regards.

INT-11P-B
Samsung S24, latest Inkbird app. 5ghz wifi.

Yup! Mine are doing it too. I had just charged them ONE DAY AGO then after charge they both worked. This morning (6-10-2024) I went to use the one. The box linked up to phone but the sensor just said “disconnected”. I got out/in to the app, I pressed the button on the box for a good 20 seconds hoping that that would reset it. It didn’t. I put the sensor into the charging box and was pushing the top 🔝 up against the + contact and held it there for about 30 seconds. NOPE that didn’t work. I don’t know what I did but after sitting on table unable to use it for about 15 minutes I tried to connect again and it Worked. I didn’t do anything but somehow it working again.
I know that intermitting problems ARE THE hardest to solve but these are new, one is 2 weeks old and the other one is just one week old but they both have similar problems.
If this happens one more time (I use them everyday) their going back. In my situation I just can’t switch to another analog thermometer and still get that particular “job” done. It screws up everything when these fail. it’s VERY important to have WORKING TOOLS!

I will update on situation soon.

Hi Tania,

I’ve followed your instructions to the letter and I’m struggling to get the probe to connect to the app albeit via the case.
At what point do I assume it’s not me but the unit as it’s kinda doing my head in maybe just a little bit and then some.
I’ve seen it work but on on my last attempt/cook which is quite frustrating
Please help, soon

Hello,
Please make sure the INT-11P-B charging case and probe are fully charged.
Please check whether the charging case is placed within 3 meters of the probe? Please understand that they are Bluetooth connections and may cause the probe to disconnect if the distance is too far.
Maybe you can reset the device? Please press and hold the button on the charging case for **30 seconds** , and it will **reset** the device. Will they be able to connect after reset?
Please note that during reset, the probe needs to be placed in the charging case or next to the charging case.
Please press and hold the button of the charging case for **30 seconds**. During this time, please do not let go even if the green light comes on. When you press and hold for a full 30 seconds, please release your hand, and its green indicator light will light up and then turn off.
Please wait for 15 seconds, the charging case may make a ‘beep’ sound and flash the green indicator several times then off.
Please check the status in the app, is the charging case and probe back connected?
If not, please email your order information and problem description to [support@inkbird.com](mailto:support@inkbird.com) for after-sales service.
